Life without interference

The two most demanded sacred books in the world are the Bible and The Tao Te Ching. And only when we understand their language can we see there are many similarities between Taoism and Hebrew Wisdom. [1]

The Way/Tao of Heaven
Does not contend and yet excels in winning
,
Does not speak and yet excels in responding,

Is not summoned and yet comes on its own,

Is unhurried and yet excels in planning,

The heavenly net is vast,

Loose, and yet does not let anything slip through,
(Tao Te Ching, 73) [2]

I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, 'Who is this that obscures my plans without Knowledge? (Job 42:2-3)

True Knowledge in action is the justice and prudence that characterizes the silent, serene, humble and self-restrained attitude that offers no resistance to Llife, nor tries to impose anything.

Those who know do not talk

Those who talk do not know
(Tao Te Ching, 56)

He that keeps his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips, seeks destruction (Proverbs 13: 3)

In the sixth centuty B.C, the wise man Lao Tse called this way of non-interference wei wu wei, doing without doing, or doing in nothingness.

The Tao abides in Non Action (Wu Wei)
and yet it leaves nothing undone.
If one understands this
All things flourish naturally in the World
(Tao Te Ching, Chapter 37)

Similar notions are behind what the prophets called  Respectful Awe of Being, Yirah Yhwh.

The beginning of Wisdom is the Awe of Being (Proverbs 1:7)

The awe for Being (Yhwh) is to move away from all evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way and the perverted mouth, I detest (Proverbs 8:13)

There is no crime greater than greed,
No disaster greater than discontentment
,
No fault greater than avarice
,
Thus the satisfaction of contentment
is the lasting satisfaction (Tao Te Ching, 46)

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. Let no man seek his own, but every man another's good(1 Corinthians 10: 23-25)

Back in the sixteenth century, the Hebrew mystic Isaac Luria taught similarly about the tzimtzum, the humble self-contraction of the Limitless (Ayn Sof) by which the cosmic Womb opens so all creation can take place naturally.

Is there greater Love than leaving space for the other?

Do not seek it. There is none.

Without this mysterious opening, there would be neither Father Will, nor divine Mother womb, nor Loving Word (the Son), nor creatures.

The Limiteless embraces them all, yet no one depletes it.

The attempt to define the Limitless is like trying to kill it.

The Tao that can be named is not the true Tao, says the first verse of Lao Tse.

Without name is the beginning of Heaven and Earth; and with Name it is the mother of Ten Thousand things.  (Tao Te Ching, 1)

Similarly, in the Hebrew tradition, the ten attributes of the Name (YHWH) are the Radiance of the Supreme.

The Absolute One transcends Name-attributes; neither is nor is not, neither does nor does not, and nothing is created without its Essence.

No one can do, love, create or understand without the substance of Love.

The One transcends even the need for understanding itself, and it simply overflows and overflows, without depletion.

Its unreachable and yet closer to us than ourselves, offering everything for free through its Word-Son.

The highest goodness resembles water
. Water greatly benefits myriads of things without contention.
It stays in places that people dislike.
Therefore it is similar to the Tao (Tao Te Ching, 8)

Not surprising that all we intend to do, is inflation. Who can compete before the beloved?

All is vanity (Ecclesiastes I)

Does this mean it is better to annihilate oneself or to be an idle? Obviously not.

The Great Way has always been misunderstood. Most people stares at the finger without seeing where it is pointing at.

Humans are the only beings who can feel the intimate fragrance of the Beloved from a dense planet, transcending the notions of beginning and end in silence.

Yet to make that intimacy stable, we need to be again image of the Common Father of Lights, and wear its fourfold Name: pure Light body, pure soul-Heart, pure Mind and pure Will.

Once the Human incarnates the Name, everything is done through him by means of the Word-Son.

I can do all things in He who strengthens me (Philipians 4:13)

To feel divine action without interference is the first step:

The hearing ear and the seeing eye are both works of the Name-Word (Proverbs 20:12)

A man's steps are of the Name; how can a man then understand his own way? (Proverbs 20:24)

The third commandment: Thou shall not take the resonance of Being/Existence in vain (Exodus 20), hides a deep and intimate Truth.

We´re not meant to impose labels, but recover our lost Humanity and mirror the whole, recognizing the Love and Life that sustains everything, burning in our true heart, amidst the Light that clothes our true being.

Nothing more and nothing less.

Some say Life is a coincidence, meaningless. But not even madness is a coincidence.

Do we breathe at will? Did we make our physical body? Did we originate the universe and its order?

Why don´t we trust more in the Order, Tao, Word of Life that is given by the Beloved? What are we afraid of? Why do we interfere with the Way?

In the Way of righteousness is Life (Proverbs 12:28)

But make no mistake, despite the just way of non-interference is very simple, it is still very complicated, since bad habits have formed too a noisy and complicated mind and a messed up heart.

And no matter which beliefs one has; no dirty soul can survive for long, either before or after death.

If we do not let Light clean our body, heart and mind, not even the Divine will be able to help us.

So there is more to unlearn than to learn; more to undo than to do; more to empty than to fill, so we can be filled.

And we can´t do this on our own. We need to know the Way.

Interestingly, in Genesis 25 we read that Abraham, which means Father of Nations, sent several children to the East with –gifts of Wisdom–around 2800 B.C.

Needless to say, before the Tower of Babel and the Confusion of Tongues, everyone spoke one language (Genesis 11), and knew One Way and One God, until pride and arrogance began to establish inhuman divisions, during the descending Ages of Time.

One in Two

                                 Why are you unhappy?
Because 99.9 per cent
Of everything you think,
And of everything you do,
Is for yourself -
And there isn't one.
                                        (Wei Wu Wei) [1]

Whoever wants to be my disciple, let him refuse identifying with his old nature, take up his cross and follow me  (Matthew 16:24)

The proud sense of "I" and "mine", "I´m right and you are not", "I am this or that", "I feel", "I think", "I perceive", with those calculated thoughts and desire for pleasure, welfare and happiness are the biggest obstacle, the origin of the adversary, i.e, Satan; poison in the life of man, as much as it was for the Titans and  Lucifer.

"What is your name?" Yhshua/Iesous asked. "My name is Legion," (Mark 5: 9)

The ego or personal self, often defined by a "personal name" is a legion said Master Yhshua/Iesus; it is a complex of psychological functions says cognitive psychology; or as Buddha put it, a conglomerate of aggregates: name-form, perceptions, sensations-emotions, impulses and consciousness, all of which are not separate, but inter-dependent; ripples in a Great Mind-Ocean.

As long as there is a 'you' doing or not-doing,
thinking or not-thinking,
'meditating' or 'not-meditating'
you are no closer to home
than the day you were born.
(Wei Wu Wei)

For primordial Love, stop for a moment; relax body muscles; forget all that says "I think", "I perceive"...; let´s do nothing to perceive this truth; avoid feeding blind impulses. Legion has no power on its own. Let the Truth find its way gently through oneness.

Be still, and know I am Elohym (Psalm 46:10)

To know is not to know something different than oneself. The same is known by the same. Divinity is feeling and breathing through us.

As long as we think, act, live via an object, or as an object: that is bondage.
As long as we feel ourselves to be an object, or think we are such (and a 'self' object): that is bondage.
(Wei Wu Wei)

No subject perceives objects such as colors, sorrows, joys...or even God.

We are beings, not objects, nor subjects of perception.

A subject seems separate from an object when in fact there is only a whole reciprocal action.

Krishnamuti used to say that the observer is the observed. Yet, that is not even true, for subject and object are abstractions of the mind. There is only a "pure feeling and seeing" that precedes the thinking processes.

The Whole feels itself on the mirror of its own radiance. All is One in Two. The lover becomes remembered in the beloved.

Nobody can understand this mystery, for who is left in Union?

Truth is that which lies in a dimension beyond the reach of thought.
Whole-mind has no 'thoughts', thoughts are split-mind.
 (Wei Wu Wei)

Thought cannot catch the Eternal One, because its Essence precedes thinking:

The Tao that can be named is not the eternal Tao.
The Name that can be named is not the true Name.
Tao is all that exists or can exist.
The World is only a map of what exists or may exist.
(first poem in the Tao Te Ching / Book of Virtuous Way, by Lao Tzu)

Tao is not simply Nature, as many believe, just as the Name used in the Bible is not referring only to something we can see or speak about or point at. Hence the third commandment:

Thy shall not take the name of Yhwh thy Elohym in vain (Exodus 20:11)

Truth shines everywhere crying Love me, Love me, I am Life and Light, beyond words and concepts. But while the personal sense of "I" believes he knows, it will be useless for him/her to realize that they never really existed separate from the Beloved.

Does this negates the personality of the soul?

Not necessarily, but the only personal element that will be preserved is the personal understanding of the emotional soul united to the light mind by the force of spirit-will. All those three forces merge to become a divine neuron, having perpetual access to the Kingdom.

He who wants to preserve his life (soul) will lose it, but whoever loses it for me will find it.
(Matthew 16:25)

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who dwells in me and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15: 5)

In fact, nobody does anything.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Existing One, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1: 8)

In the beginning was the Word-Logos, and the Logos was in God and the Logos was God (John 1:1)

What is the One beyond its Word-Radiance?

That is the greatest Mystery.

The Beloved is Essence emanating Existence; the All originating everything; it is Absolute, Limitless (Ayn Sof in Hebrew), and thus includes even limitation:

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create calamity: I, Existence (YHWH), do all these things (Isaiah 45:7)

When Light manifests, it casts shadow. Yet in the unmanifested Light, darkness is neutralized.

Hebrew Wisdom tells that the division of Light and Darkness mentioned in Genesis is made possible by the humble concealment of the Supreme Beloved, which thus leaves space for everything, releasing the Word-Vibration that generates the illusion of Light separate from Darkness, and thus free will:

Without such separation, nobody could choose light before darkness, and thus  no one would be able to gain merit to receive all bliss, which is what the Supreme wants to give.

Without pain and illusion of separation, Love cannot grow either.

The humility and generosity of the Beloved is devastating, giving everything in anonymity, even the human will, for He is our being, yet we are not his, as the author of The Cloud of Unknowing says.

Only in the perception of illusion can we complicate things, believing we are separate, and thus suffer more.

What is your problem? Mistaken identity.
(Wei Wu Wei)

Are you still thinking, looking, living, as from an imaginary phenomenal centre? As long as you do that you can never recognise your freedom.
(Wei Wu Wei)

The error lies only in "perception". All suffering begins with wrong perception.

When we open ourselves to the Eternal, we glimpse bliss; when we glimpse bliss, we think of bliss; when we think of bliss, we feel and act moved by bliss, even in times of pain.

Now, saying and feeling "I suffer" does not make us suffer, but perpetuates divine suffering. To understand that only the manifested Existence of Beloved Being is suffering in each one of its expressions is getting even closer to Truth. Only the Spirit of Pure Being (Yhwh) can say: I am, you are torturing me. Please, open the eyes of the heart!

Verily I say to you, whatever you did for one of these my brethren, you did it to Me (Matthew 25:40)

Every great prophet, wise or enlightened man has realized Reality beyond religious beliefs; but few have emphasized this "divine pain".

We are responsible for increasing or decreasing Divine Pain.

Yahoshua said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." (Gospel of Thomas)

Here, the voice of Being, is not urging us to become trans-sexual, but to find the Field where our maiden soul and the silent mind are joined by the divine spirit/will in the body temple, dwelling as One, without desire for more, without division, without Fall of Adam, without corruption, in an everlasting embrace of Love and deep Peace.

You are the secret of God's secret.
You are the mirror of divine beauty.
The whole universe is within you.
Ask all yourself,
that you're looking for is also You
(Rumi)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love comes from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (I John 3: 4)

To be Sons of the Highest is to recognize that the spirit/will that divinizes our soul is a drop of Spirit. The heavens and the earth now need true Sons, not "fallen idolater sons" that exclude others with religious sectarisms.

But do not cry out saying that all religions are vain, for in all of them there is a scent of truth without which the faith of believers would not be lighted up (Rumi)

There is so much division, poverty, disease, violence and misery because few come to know the Beloved beyond concepts.

The Scriptures say that Fallen Adam lacks Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and therefore does not receive Light.

But we are already in the awaited Millennium.

Who should live within each one so that all that can manifest? The little "I's" with their concerns and anxieties?

With Christ I have been crucified, but it is no longer I who live but is Christ who lives in me.
(Galatians 2:20)

If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
 (Romans 8:10)

Christ in Greek and Mashiah in Hebrew are expressions referring to the anointing Light that comes from the Divine Source to rescue stray particles of Being. That saving Light was personified by Master Yeshua, name which means Salvation, ebing the first in incarnating it fully, showing the Way to do the same.

God dwells in every man, but not every human dwells in God says a Sufi proverb.

The Eternal spoke through all those who expressed the Truth:

And Elohim [the Word] said to Moses: I will  be who I will be. And so you shall say to the Israelites: I will be has sent me to you (Exodus 3:14, Targum Onkelos)

The Buddha-nature is in fact not the self. For the sake of [guiding] sentient beings, I describe it as the Self (Atman) (Mahaparinirvana Sutra) [2]

You need to understand that I Am,
To see that I am not,
And realize that
I am not, therefore I am
(Wei Wu Wei)

What´s the place for our narrow and idolatrous minds, little heads full of beliefs, passions and useless superstitions? All that is already straw for Divine Fire.

A new Mind is at hand.

Being One with Divine Spirit does not mean to isolate ourselves from the world, to flagellate oneself, or kill the body with many fasts, nor bow down before statues or pray to the sky to see if help comes. It is to embrace Truth and Life everywhere.
