Resurrection in Life

See the world as it is: a soap bubble, a mirage...
The king of death can do nothing before this vision
(Buda, Dhammapada)

Easy is to say it, difficult to live it, we often think.

Yet, the fact this 3D reality is a divine illusion that can be conquered, is the conclusion when emotions and attachments start to weaken by effect of the Loving Consciousness that comes from the Ocean of Light, ready to rescue us in each moment, when we simply give up our lower chatty mind, wishes and emotional turmoils, the waves of the Unconscious where we get drowned so many times.

Such Light is not impersonal, for it is sent by our Common Father to rescue his lost sons.

And our fallen soul can´t be rectified if the vibrations of the truly universal Mind-Logos does not touch our shadow everyday, generating conscious remorse and expanded compassive awareness, connecting us to the true Father Creator.

The external world is a reflection of the inner one. So when someone judges and accuses us, is it not because we judged and accused first? When life stinks, is it not because the inner world stinks first?

To live ceasselessly the loving awareness that understands and dissolves the unconscious knots and their proyections, exerts an effect on all levels.

And when its Light starts to "crystalize", one is little by little anointed with a divine oil called "chrisma" in Greek, "shemen" en Hebrew:

The chrism is superior to baptism, for it is from the word "Chrism" that we have been called "Christians," certainly not because of the word "baptism". And it is because of the chrism that "the Christ" has his name. For the Father anointed the Son, and the Son anointed the apostles, and the apostles anointed us. He who has been anointed possesses everything. He possesses the resurrection, the Light, the cross, the Holy Spirit (Gospel of Philip)

Now, Philip the evangelist is not referring to a conventional resurrection, but to that showed by Yeshua.

Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death (John 8:51 ESV)

And to keep his word begins with taking it as it is. Not seeing death means not seeing death, not even the physical.

St.Gregory of Nisa, Doctor of the Oriental Katholic Church, made a perfect description of a deep truth concerning this issue:

the Resurrection is no other thing than the re-constitution of our nature in its original form [i.e the celestial non-fallen Human]
(The Soul and the Resurrection) [2]

And this first true resurrection implies the death of the old man with its carnal psyche, what brings the complete resurrection or re-constitution of all soul-parts together:

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit (John 12:24)

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God (Colosians 3:1)

This is something that was clear to the Way keepers who knew about true resurrection:

Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing (Gospel of Philip)

Unfortunately, when hearing about resurrection, some believers usually think of a resurrection after physical life, since very few study the Scriptures.

Certainly, the Old Testament and Paul´s letters point to a "resurrection of the dead" that will take place in the World to Come.

Yet Yeshua/Jesus does not seem to focus on such side of the resurrection, which almost every Jew in his time took for granted, except the Saducees, who transgressed the Law as the most because they did not believe in post-mortem punishment nor the World to Come.

In those days the Hebrews already believed that after physical death, those souls that are not corrupt because of hate and lower passions, are purified and taken to a Paradise called Abraham´s Bossom (Luke 16: 19-31), where they meet family and friends.

Many cultures talk about this encounter with family and ancestors in a Paradise.

Yet the Hebrew tradition specifies that there souls are instructed for the "resurrection of the dead", which is an exceptional reincarnation in a New Earth, where those souls will have the oportunity to live with a spiritualized physical body, enjoying the fruits of their deeds in life, but without the chaos of present earth.

For behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind (Isaiah 65:17)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more (Revelation 21:1)

Hebrew scholars debated on whether the resurrection of the dead is during or after the coming Mesianic Era.

For Nacmanides and others, the resurrection takes place in the Celestial Earth of the World to Come (Olam Haba), after the resting Day of Creation, namely, after the seventh millenium, the Mesianic Era, which should be fully stable in about 230 years, preceded by the anticipations of the Morrow Bread we are already having, finishing the sixth millenium of the present World Cycle [3].

And it is reasonable to think that the resurrection of the dead really takes place in the New Earth, and not during the 1000 years of earth regeneration in this coming Mesianic Era.

However, there are suggestive passages, such as Revelation 20:6.

The Zohar and Paul also speak of a sudden "death and resurrection" for those who are still alive at the end and deserve it:

And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air
(1 Thesalonians 4:16)

Somemething for each to ponder and interpret freely.

Yet, it´s necessary to realize this is something that already exists at once in Eternity, for Time is an illusion. And this has to do with what was known as
apokatastasis or restitution of all things, when all the human race is perfected in its true form, in spite of the Fall.

Although each one chooses destiny in the process of formation of the Kingdom, in accord to conscious actions and efforts.

Thus, those living in the Mesianic Era will have not as much merit as those living and overcoming a hell on earth, although they won´t miss some challenges.

For this reason, it would not be surprising to hear about new deceptions, such as false New Earths. This world is subject to the delusions of the God of this time (1 Cor 4:4 / 2 Thesalonians 2:11).

Furthermore, the resurrection of the dead is not necessarily complete in every case. As Isaac Luria clarified, only the parts of the soul that have been previously rectified –i.e christified– in life, can reincarnate together in the New Earth of the Coming World. And simply because only when the rectification is complete, can the soul re-generate a body-soul which is exactly identical to the one the person had in life, but spiritualized. While those soul parts that were not rectified before physical death and had to reincarnate, will be resurrected in other bodies.

These differences are usually ignored. Hence many get confident with "blind belief", praying a lot to heaven, and leaving self-perfection for others.

Therefore, it is not prudent to conform oneself with the promises of the World to Come. Better is to listen to the Master, aspiring to the true first resurrection, uniting with the own original form-essence and manifesting it in life.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit (John 12:24)

[3] The book of Genesis never refers to the creation of the earth as it is usually understood by fundamentalists.

The Hebrew tradition states very clearly that the present earth is the 7th World-Age, preceded by other six Earth-worlds. And each World-Age lasts 7000 years, presumably, since each day of creation is equivalent to 1000 years, according to 2 Peter 3:9 and other passages.

In theory we are living the 6th millenium of the 7th World-Age, and a Great Cycle will conclude after 49.000 years (7 Earths-World Ages).
